A New Jersey shop that searches for work under an old Army buying-office name can miss the next amendment to an opportunity it already tracks. The Army says it integrated ACC–New Jersey into ACC–Rock Island on May 4. Its current command page lists a New Jersey division at Picatinny Arsenal and Joint Base McGuire-Dix. This October briefing revisits that organizational change.
Take one open quotation from your bid log. Find the original notice and its latest amendment. Write down the notice identifier, issuing office, authorized contact, revision date and submission deadline. Compare them with the details on your estimator’s copy. An office-name change is a reason to check the notice before redirecting a submission.
A practical test for Monday: give a second estimator only the notice identifier. Can they retrieve the same revision and deadline? If their search ends at an older attachment, update the shared bid log and name one person to monitor amendments until submission.
The Army describes streamlined acquisition as a goal of the consolidation. For a supplier, the immediate decision is who will maintain the opportunity record. A change of command alone supplies no basis for booking new orders.
